SOA certification program officially launched - wtf?

written by CraigBeattie on December 9th, 2005 @ 09:45 AM. edit (admin only)

Great – a piece of paper that says I’ve incorporated BEA’s view of SOA and can recite it at will. Surely SOA is about a vendor/technology agnostic view of architecture thats interoperable and based around simple services? Really not sure how this helps.

SOA certification program officially launched: “The SOA Enterprise Architecture certification program was officially announced at BEAWorld Beijing this week. Certification is based on successfully completing three phases. Phase 1 is already available; Phase 2 will be available by end of December 2005; and Phase 3 is scheduled for mid-2006 release.”
