taken myself off raiding list in guild for at least a while - reasons to follow...

can't believe it really, our pet rabbit has gone from healthy to not in a few short hours. she was fine last night, and this morning, sammy says she was ok this afternoon and then just flopped - collapsed. Sammy rushed her to the vets who gave her some anti-biotics, did some x-ray's to try to see what was up. she was looking up and was staying in overnight.

we got a call about 10ish saying she'd passed away. odd the regret one has that she was away from her home and family. 4 hours from bouncy and happy. most most odd. not looking forward to cleaning her cage for the last time tbqfh.

end of an era really. still remember the day i went to meet sammy at the pet shop after work and found her holding misty, saying "i want the rabbit...". Seemed like grumpy wee thing would go on for ever...

I actually found the course to be very relevant. I was a little dubious but essentially it provides a number of complementary processes and frameworks to put together simple powerful documents swiftly and effectively. I genuinely think this year I’ll save the man-days I spent on the course if I use the techniques from the course.

Word of note – it is a business writing course. It’s designed to allow you to get content out swiftly and in a readily accessible format. It’s not a creative writing or technical writing course. It is however absolutely relevant to me and I’d recommend it.

Still playing, not posting much and frankly not playing as much as I’d planned. In fact life’s taking me away so far that I’m wondering what to do with my guild membership. Currently i’m a member of dawnraiders and we’re largely raiding Kharazan and Gruul’s layer with some success. The objective of all this is to complete the serpentshrine quest which needs a kill of a firey undead dragon in kharazan and the big man Gruul. Of the four organised raids a week I’m currently getting to about one or so. Real lifes keeping me away and I’m working a great deal at the moment too. I must admit it’s leading to some wierd personal conflicts. A pass time that I would do when sammy was working to keep me occupied has become something with organised times and obligations – ones I’m aware I’m neglecting.

Still I’m doing well when I can – the windhawk set is still on my todo list. Got some way to go yet – 11 points in leatherworking and then the mats. Have a look here to see what gear is going on with craghewn and cragmist (who’s feeling rather neglected).

Well, more like me not blogging – but why?

It’s something on my mind since I’m here at the computer and clearly haven’t blogged lately and to a degree I’m reluctant to do so now. why would this be? I’m actually thinking that mephisto isn’t doing it for me. looks pretty – like the templates but it’s lacking something. When and what do I want to blog about? What do I want to record? I guess to a degree I haven’t worked out my requirements for a blog and therefore don’t know what I want here. I have a feeling that I want to be able to post things from my phone – that this downtime is when I feel like writing and not when I’m actually in front of a computer. This leaves some interesting features in play. Also the possibility of whacking piccies up is perhaps of advantage.

I’d actually like to be able to combine the photo album/gallery style interface, my links, my linked in activities, etc – all in one place. To a degree my rss feed achieves some of this, but doesn’t make part of the web site.

What is it then that I want to be doing here?
